WELCOME TO CASA PELICANO, WHERE THE JUNGLE MEETS THE SAND!

Thank you for choosing Casa Pelicano! I am Allison Pastor, the owner and your concierge and I am here to make your vacation memorable. Contact me for the following services: In House Cook, Activity Planning, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Transportation Services. I can plan your snorkeling, sailing, whale watching, fishing, surfing, horseback riding and more!

Here are a few quick notes regarding your rental. Please send me your flight reservations so we know what time to expect you. casapelicano17@gmail.com

TRANSPORTATION/ RENTAL CAR: To/from the Puerto Vallarta airport is approximately $150 USD round trip depending on the number of people. I will be happy to arrange for our local car service to be waiting for you at the airport. The driver will have a sign with your parties name on it. The company we use is Diva Tours. A grocery stop is included in this service! If you are renting a car, this local service is a good option. Gecko Rent a Car of Bucerias http://www.geckorentcar.com/.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Upon leaving the airport travel north on Route 200. San Francisco, nicknamed San Pancho, will be about a 45 minute journey by car. You will start out on a divided 4 lane highway. After the town of Bucerias the road will become 2 lane which winds its way up and then down. After 20 minutes on this stretch you will pass the entrance to the town of Sayulita. 5 minutes later the road will bring you past a gate on the left reading Hacienda San Pancho, this is not your destination. You are heading just around the corner downhill where you will see a green overhead sign reading & San Francisco. Turn left from the highway onto Main Street (Avenue Tercer Mundo).

In Mexico motorists pull off the highway to the right and wait until there is no traffic when making a left hand turn. I would strongly advise you to do the same. Stay on Tercer Mundo until you see Calle America Latina (Dolce Amor restaurant on the right) turn right here and follow the road until you cross under a large white arch. This will take you several minutes of driving. Continue down the same road, the road will eventually turn to the left, then right, and you will continue to follow the coast. Once you pass a house called Aqua Bella, which will be on your right, be on the lookout for a street to the right. Turn here and head up the steep road. Casa Pelicano is the large white house on the right. The guest driveway and entrance gate is at the top of the hill on the right.

There is a key box located by the door on the street. I will send you the code to the box and to the front door. Please let yourself in and the house administrator will be by soon to welcome you, her name is Maria Garcia.

San Pancho has a few ATM machines located in local groceries and near the hospital. If you need to exchange money or travelers checks later during your vacation, there is a bank in Sayulita called Intercam which is located on the main street once you enter Sayulita. It is recommended you get pesos at the airport in case the ATM in town is not functioning. Banks will require you to show your passport when exchanging money.

TIME ZONE in San Pancho is the SAME as Puerto Vallarta! Please adjust your phone setting to Puerto Vallarta, not automatic. If you set to automatic, the phone will change in and out of CST and Mountain Time. In San Pancho we are currently using Central Standard Time. Please note that check out is at 12 noon. If you need to check out at a later time, please let me know and I will see if our reservation calendar allows for extra time. If I do not have guests arriving the same day, it is not a problem.

Safety First- Our vacation rental is very safe, but ALWAYS take the same precautions you would when leaving your own home, please lock all doors and windows and put away electronics. We are not responsible for theft, so please take the time to lock up!

House Administrator - Maria Garcia is the House Administrator. For immediate assistance with the house, please contact Maria. Her cell phone when dialing locally from the house phone is 045 322 133 6695.  Dial the prefix 01 instead of 045 if you are using a U.S. cell phone. Owner, Reservation Managers – Allison Pastor can be reached at USA Cell 504 326 0659; casapelicano17@gmail.com

Housekeeping – Teresa, the housekeeper, will come mid week. Tipping the housekeeper is customary. A suggested minimum gratuity “per bedroom” is approximately $5.00 per day for each day the house was cleaned. Please keep in mind the house was cleaned prior to your arrival and after you depart.

Gardening – Ramon, the gardener takes care of the gardens. He will be at the house Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday about 8:30am. He will also take the trash out for you if it’s outside in the garbage cans. He will not enter the house. Pool Service – Ricardo comes three times per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You will see him on the terrace about 5pm. He stays less than 30 minutes each time. He has a ladder that he uses to access the pool. He will not come through the house.

Keys/Front Door - You will receive a set of keys upon your arrival on the kitchen counter. If keys are lost, we must change all of the locks. A $25.00 charge per key will be applied. Please lock all doors and gates when leaving the property as well as all windows and sliders on the lower level.

Wi-Fi - The modem is located downstairs by the stairwell. The password is located on the modem itself. The Orbi system password is cleversheep025. This connection is best upstairs. Televisions - In the living area and master suite are smart TV’s. You turn the TV on, press Smart and then follow to Netflix or television. There is no password required to access Netflix. If it does prompt you, the password is pelican. There is an Alexa downstairs that is connected to Spotify and Sirius XM.

There is another Alexa upstairs and Bluetooth speaker located in the middle living area. There will be a small Bluetooth speaker in that same room that you are welcome to take to the beach. Please remember to charge the night before your beach day!

Drinking Water- All of the water in the house is purified, including the water in the refrigerator and the ice machine, so there is no need to purchase bottled water.

Water heaters are on demand and take a few minutes to get hot water. Please be patient and also try to time your showers a few minutes apart so they can catch up. Downstairs shower will take a few minutes longer to receive hot water as water heaters are located upstairs.

Bathrooms- Please dispose of toilet paper and feminine products in the trash basket provided for you. Septic systems are testy and can provide unwanted “mess” if overloaded with paper products.

Phone - The home phone can be used for local calls, calls to the United States and Canada. If family or friends need to call you from another villa in San Pancho, they just dial 258 4889. If they are calling from out of the area the number is 01 (311) 258 4889 , when calling from the U.S. or Canada please dial 011 52 311 258 4889. Cell phone coverage is sparse in the jungle! The best reception is on the pool terrace or on the beach.

Electricity and A/C – In order to save energy and electricity, please turn off the A/C, lights and ceiling fans when you are not in the room. Please do not leave doors or windows open if using the A/C, this can create condensation and cause the A/C unit to drip water. Please do not have AC running all day when not in that particular room, we want to be environmentally conscious but the electricity is also very expensive and testy, having everything running all day nonstop will cause for fuses to blow.

Water Usage - San Pancho’s water supply is limited so it is helpful if water is not used unnecessarily. There is a hose on the front porch to rinse off sandy feet/shoes. If towels are dirty, please leave them on the floor and they will be exchanged for clean ones. Bedding will be changed midweek.

Casa Pelicano Personal Items/Furniture – Please do not move household furniture to the outside terraces. Pool furniture is provided on the terrace.

Towels/Beach Gear – Casa Pelicano provides pool towels only. Please do not take these towels to the beach. There are beach throws available for you to take to the beach. Please leave your beach towels outside in order to keep the house from getting sandy. We provide 4 beach chairs, one umbrella, and an ice chest for beach use. Any missing or lost towels and/or beach gear will be charged to guests.

Pool Deck – The pool and terraces can be very slippery when wet. Please use with caution. Please DO NOT use glass is around the pool. Plastic wine glasses, drinking glasses and dinnerware are provided on the kitchen shelves as well as inside of the kitchen pantry.

Please DO NOT walk around the pool on the infinity side. Pool lights are located on the wall outside.

Barbecue - Please turn off the gas after using the BBQ on the pool terrace. BBQ tongs, forks etc. are located in the kitchen drawer near the refrigerator.

Laundry – Linens and towels are laundered by the house staff. For laundry service, please visit the local laundry mat in town.

Garbage/Recycle – The garbage will be taken to the dump by Ramon. You can place your recycling in a separate bag. There are two trash cans located in the kitchen, one is for recycling items. Please use the garbage can located outside to drop your full garbage bags. Recycling can be left on the side of the trash can in a bag.

Electrical Blackouts - Electrical blackouts and brownouts do occur from time to time in all of San Pancho. This may affect the appliances and/or electronics in the house. Please let the house manager know if this occurs. If this occurs and you need to get your car out from behind the gate, there is an emergency key located in the cabinet above the refrigerator. It is an orange plastic device/key inside of a zip lock bag. You will use this to manually open the gate from the gate electric boxes located on each side of the gate. You just pop open the cap and use the key to turn the knob to the open position.

Mosquitos - Please maintain all screen doors closed to avoid mosquitos and other insects getting in to the house. Remember, we are in the jungle!

Smoking – Smoking is permitted outside only. There are ash trays located in the kitchen pantry.

Personal Items, Security - While traveling it’s always a good idea to keep your valuables with you or locked in the safe, which is located in the master suite bathroom closet. Please note that if you lose your safe key, there is a $50 USD charge. Please keep doors and windows locked when away from the house and when sleeping, and use safe in the bathroom closet for valuables.

Keys/Front Door – Please lock the front door, all inside sliding glass doors and windows, and close the driveway gate with the remote control when leaving the property.

Checkout/Keys - Checkout time is noon. Please leave the house locked with the keys left on the kitchen counter. Please also leave the remote control on the kitchen counter as well as the safe key. Please turn off all AC’s and all lights and fans before departure. Please also close all sliding doors and windows.
